*California licensed volunteers only! *In 2010, CA passed legislation allowing out-of-state licensed healthcare professionals to volunteer for events like RAM clinics within the state. However, as of today we do not know how this legislation will be implemented. The following volunteers are needed: MDs, RNs, EMTs, DDS/DMDs, OMSs, RDHs, DAs, OPHTHs, ODs, Ophth Techs, Opt Techs, and general volunteers.

VISION: Vision exam and free prescription glasses made onsite. (NOTE: As time and supplies permit - May not be able to make glasses for everyone.)
MEDICAL : Pediatric exams; adult physicals & medical consults (including diabetes and hypertension); chiropractors; acupuncture; blood lab work; chest X-rays; medication assistance; and many other medical specialties available.
Services provided by Remote Area Medical® volunteers are intended for the uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, underemployed, and those who cannot afford to pay.
